Community + Library

While I’d love your help on this campaign, our Altadena public libraries need your help now, after November, and beyond. Consider joining our two incredible support organizations - the Friends of the Altadena Library and the Altadena Library Foundation - who work tirelessly on behalf of our libraries, or volunteer directly through the library, as a literacy tutor, tech whisperer, teen volunteer, and more.

FRIENDS OF THE ALTADENA LIBRARY

Established in 1959, the Friends of the Altadena Library is an organization committed to the support of the Altadena Library District and its programs and services. The purpose of the Friends is to stimulate public interest in the library, assist with funding to purchase library materials, and to support cultural and educational programs at the Altadena Library.

ALTADENA LIBRARY FOUNDATION

The Foundation works to support and enrich the facilities, resources and services of the Altadena Library District through fundraising and advocacy. Their major annual fundraiser — Taste of 'Dena — is coming up soon, on September 28, 2024!

VOLUNTEER AT THE ALTADENA LIBRARY

The library welcomes and relies on the support of its dedicated volunteers. There are many ways to volunteer at Altadena Library District, including as a literacy tutor, a technology assistant, a shelf reader, a supporter of the Friends' Book Sale, or something else you might be able to dream up.
